- #i
I have an 04 expedition four.6L. I accept a wet rider floor board. I dont have a sun roof. I cant find/run across the air-conditioning bleed tube. Does anyone have pictures and some instructions on clearing. I did a search on the forum and I have seen posts that explain it just pictures are no longer bachelor.

Yep, I don't know why the pictures have disappeared from the original postal service. But in the end you'll have to put an elbow on the drain tube nipple to fix the catamenia back problem that soaks the carpet.
You can get information technology from the dealer, or Tasca Parts online.
The elbow goes on the drain nipple like this ....
Pry this plastic shield off that covers the nipple, yous won't demand it anymore ...
But tool needed really is a long screw driver from Home Cheapo .....
Boil the elbow in h2o for most fifteen minutes to soften in upwards just earlier you stick it on the bleed nipple. When information technology cools it will tighten up on the nipple and never come off.
If you simply want to clean out the blower box and drain you tin can drill a hole to spray some cleaner in there and and so flush information technology out with a utility sprayer wand with minimal mess. Employ a safety plug or a piece of black duct tape to cover the hole when you're done.
On the Gen2 Expy's the real prepare is the elbow installation. ( At highway speeds, the under hood air pressure level causes back flowing of the condensation drain and the bleed water flows back effectually the outlet nipple and into the firewall insulation and carpet....)
The evaporator is located on the far left side of the box. The bleed hole is in line with the hole drilled here in the box.

I've never washed the job myself, but would recollect something like this. Home improvement shop should accept a option of nylon variety in different sizes for inexpensive.

Is that the manual dipstick tube in the second flick?

Thats a piping cleaner, similar to something y'all'd observe in a gun cleaning kit.
You lot probably could use the dipstick or a metal clothes hanger, but I'd probably prefer something with bristles.

I have used the non-clasp end of a heavy duty plastic nothing-tie to make clean a/c evaporator drains.
A dipstick or metal clothes hanger can accept a abrupt end, and you run the hazard of puncturing the evaporator cadre (which is aluminum).

Is that the transmission dipstick tube in the 2d picture?
Yes, you may want to remove the trans tube to increase access and work room ....
